- Tree angel
Appears to be a modified doll. Hair is painted silver with possible cigar band as crown. Dress hand sewn and wings cut from corrugated metal sheet. Toilet paper core slipped onto top branch. Perhaps this is an example of Esther re-purposing a broken doll for a new use. - Doll outfit: hand-made red velvet with real fur embellishments
Esther's keepsake suitcase. Another example of Esther's handiwork, probably for Kathy's dolls. - Jointed porcelain and composition doll, blue silk dress
Esther's keepsake suitcase. Increasingly, I believe these dolls are likely Esther's rather than Kathy's. Mom showed me her prized bride doll but never spoke of these. Further, the wear and deterioration make them appear older. - Jointed porcelain doll, boy in suit
Esther's keepsake suitcase. Doll of Esther's? Suit is hand-made, but leather shoes that have nearly disintegrated must have come with the doll. White knitted cap seems to be for a different doll. It appears too large for either of these complete dolls. - Porcelain jointed doll, blue silk dress
From photos of Esther as a girl, it is clear she had many dolls. Was this hers or Kathy's? Dating it might provide an answer. Mom (Kathy) did say Esther made clothes for her dolls. This one is missing the lower part of a leg and has a crocheted hat and salmon colored bag. Silk dress is rotting. - Wally F. Bohannon's scout sash and ribbons
- Kathy's scout sash, other half
