- Jointed porcelain doll, boy in suit
Esther's keepsake suitcase. Doll of Esther's? Suit is hand-made, but leather shoes that have nearly disintegrated must have come with the doll. White knitted cap seems to be for a different doll. It appears too large for either of these complete dolls. - Fine lace doll cap
Found in small suitcase of keepsakes, possibly assembled by Esther Bohannon. According to Jan, this is hatpin work, so named because it could be done with hatpins. The work comes together quickly and was seen as an inferior alternative to crochet. It would seem, therefore, very suited for making a cap for a baby doll. Wish I knew which grandmother or great grandmother made it. - Tree angel
Appears to be a modified doll. Hair is painted silver with possible cigar band as crown. Dress hand sewn and wings cut from corrugated metal sheet. Toilet paper core slipped onto top branch. Perhaps this is an example of Esther re-purposing a broken doll for a new use. - Kathy's scout sash, other half
- Kathleen Bohannon's first shoes
Label reads "KJB first shoes" in Esther's hand writing
