- The invasion begins
Wally considers Mommy's provocative placement of the space men. - "He flies! He flies!"
Of course, he does. All of Wally's toy's fly. - The space invaders land on planet Wally
Wally plays with his new figurines in the grass and dirt pool Jerry dug these cool retro figurines out of his stuff. I gave them to him years ago. Wally just loves them. He wanted to play with them outside so we experimented with them on the sidewalk, in the grass, and, at my prompting, in the pile of dirt left over from digging the garden. - Brushing teeth, drinking water, all from the comfort of your own sink
I don't remember how or why this happened. - IMG_9156.jpg

- Let's really study that carrot, shall we?
Close-up of Wally's nearly eaten carrot - Wally and Mommy check out the masticated carrot in his mouth...so funny!
Wally was totally amused to view the contents of his mouth He was giggling so much that I was concerned he might choke...nutty. - Dutch tries to get in on the fun
Dutch tries to slip into Wally's case - Wally sports a robot mouth (1970s dial) while sitting in his case
What a kid moment - Improvements to "my case"
Wally adds Laura's super soft snuggle sack for added comfort So far, Wally is the only one who loves Laura's hand-made snuggle sack. Yogi won't go in it and Priscilla doesn't bury herself. I thought Dutch might be coaxed into it, but was dead wrong. Wally loves how soft it is and has even tried climbing into it. I think we have forthcoming photos of this. - How many ways can a little suitcase be enjoyed?
Wally tests out the little suitcase from GGma's I spotted this little gem as Janice was going through her mother's things. I thought it would be perfect for packing Wally for overnights with Max... and it is. It also reminded me of my little green suitcase that I packed once when I decided to run away. (I ultimately rejected the plan as unfeasible.) I think every child should have their own special "case", as Wally calls it. - Wally's newly minted silly smile
They still look great! - Daddy and Wally breakfasting before going to Grandpa's birthday brunch
Looking sharp for Cafe Ventana downtown They were looking sharp for the celebration at Cafe Ventana near the Fox. Chris and I went to the art fair since it was Mother's Day weekend. We dined on art, they on freshly made beignets that they watched being made through a window in the floor. One of the bakers made silly faces at Wally much to his delight. - Wally and friends
The dogs and Dutch snuggle up to Wally to watch an afternoon flick How sweet is this! It wasn't until after Wally turned two that he started to be interested in the pets. Now he greets them, kisses them on the head, puts his head down on their backs, apologizes to them if he should, and laughs about their antics.
