- Taking a bath with your clothes on.
Logan and Wally soak themselves in the water table on a hot day. We took Logan off of Grandma's hands that Friday. Luke had had his tonsils out and was really hurting. After watching Logan for several days, so was Grandma. We played inside with trains, played outside in the water, changed clothes, went to Dierbergs and rode in a rocket cart, ate m & ms, watched Wallace and Grommit and dyed eggs. Not bad, eh. - Let's really study that carrot, shall we?
Close-up of Wally's nearly eaten carrot - Wally on his way into the crib...what technique!
Wally climbs into the crib when the gate is lower Oh, and those pajamas, they glow in the dark! Wally picked them out at Costco. - First successful attempt to climb into the crib
But he makes no attempt to climb out without assistance The gate is down, and he climbed in on his own initiative. Not gracefully, mind you. He got his leg up and went over, landing with his head at a right angle to the rest of him...not an easy thing for mom to watch. But he was thrilled with his new trick and it predictably became a game. However, he needs help getting out, or, rather, jumping out. He climbs up on the rail with me holding his hands and then jumps to the floor–great fun! - Decorating Daddy!
Wally embellishes Daddy's otherwise unassuming hand. - Wally's newly minted silly smile
They still look great! - And they fly!
Staging extra-atmospheric attack. - Wally and Mommy check out the masticated carrot in his mouth...so funny!
Wally was totally amused to view the contents of his mouth He was giggling so much that I was concerned he might choke...nutty. - Daddy and Wally breakfasting before going to Grandpa's birthday brunch
Looking sharp for Cafe Ventana downtown They were looking sharp for the celebration at Cafe Ventana near the Fox. Chris and I went to the art fair since it was Mother's Day weekend. We dined on art, they on freshly made beignets that they watched being made through a window in the floor. One of the bakers made silly faces at Wally much to his delight. - From the toys' perspective
The invaders await further commands. - Gathering up the toys
Time to pack it in. - The invasion begins
Wally considers Mommy's provocative placement of the space men. - Wally and friends
The dogs and Dutch snuggle up to Wally to watch an afternoon flick How sweet is this! It wasn't until after Wally turned two that he started to be interested in the pets. Now he greets them, kisses them on the head, puts his head down on their backs, apologizes to them if he should, and laughs about their antics. - Crash!
Mommy jammed a few rockets into the dirt and held her breath. I didn't know if he would be amused or distressed. After all, he doesn't like things to get dirty. But he ran with this one. - Avalanche! Retreat!
The invaders plummet to the bottom of Mt. Wally. He knocked everyone down into a pile.
