The blue hands say it all. This was a big step. He went from trying to pull his skin off to remove a stamp at the Pirate Festival to actually enjoying having blue hands. That's progress. - Wally's first Easter Car Show in Forest Park!
He wanted to ride all the cars...me too! Ok, we had fun, but there was a lot of misunderstanding. Calling it a "show" made Wally think it was like a movie. So, that was disappointing to him. Then, he wanted to ride in all the cars..bummer number 2. But he perked up after we got some food. - Wally and Mommy plant some cottage pinks.
Wally went with me to Bayer to buy many of the plants for the garden and the pots this year. I asked him if he wanted to help and he did a pretty good job. We have enjoyed watching his pinks bloom all summer. - Wally in his rocker
First time Wally pulled the rocker out and climbed in to watch a movie Wally had played around with the rocker (which had been Jerry's) before, but recently has shown a lot of interest in it, perhaps b/c we brought Ggma's rocker into the house. At any rate, he pulled it up to the computer and climbed in to watch a movie and has done so several times now. - First successful attempt to climb into the crib
But he makes no attempt to climb out without assistance The gate is down, and he climbed in on his own initiative. Not gracefully, mind you. He got his leg up and went over, landing with his head at a right angle to the rest of him...not an easy thing for mom to watch. But he was thrilled with his new trick and it predictably became a game. However, he needs help getting out, or, rather, jumping out. He climbs up on the rail with me holding his hands and then jumps to the floor–great fun! - Wally on his way into the crib...what technique!
