Me in front of one of many fantastic paintings on blue of peacocks. The graphic element was masterful. This is supposed to represent Whistler's relationship with the patron. The poor assailed artist. We went to the Freer to see the Thomas Wilmer Dewing paintings - the dude I did my thesis on. It was neat, but I had my camera on movie...nice. - DSC03327
Jen at the Freer Gallery. It did not come out well in the dark space, but she loved the gold sunflower and irons and the mosaic hearth composed of a million shades of blue. We read that another designer began this project, but that when he fell ill, Whistler just took it over, repainting and reworking it until it no longer resembled the original plans. What a dick. But it was cool. - DSC03326
The magnificent breakfast prepared by my slave-for-a-week. Juice, bagel, fried egg, bacon, sweetest fried potatos I've ever had...mmm. I can only hope it makes it on the fridge like another photo of a memorable breakfast. Did I say mmmm?
